The national game of Madagascar, here on its five-by-five board. Pieces slide along the lines; you capture not by landing on the enemy but by moving toward a line of them (approach) or away from one (withdrawal) — sweeping up the whole row.
Rules
Tap one of your pieces, then a highlighted point to slide it one step along a line.
A capturing move (red) sweeps up every enemy piece in a straight line beyond your destination — either the line you moved toward (approach) or the line you moved away from (withdrawal), whichever captures more.
If any capture is available anywhere on the board, you must make one.
Clear every AI piece from the board — or leave the AI with no legal move — to win.
Tips
The strongest moves both approach one enemy line and withdraw from another — this version automatically takes whichever direction captures more. Because capture is forced, you can bait the AI: leave a piece where its only capture drags it out of position, then punish it on your turn.
