How to play

The oldest board game we know — the Snake Game of Old Kingdom Egypt, played on the coiled body of the serpent-god Mehen. Cast the sticks and run your pieces from the tail inward toward the head at the centre.

Rules

  • Click "Cast sticks" to throw, then tap a highlighted piece to move it that many squares inward along the spiral.
  • A penned piece enters the track at the square equal to your throw.
  • Land exactly on an opponent’s piece and it is sent back to the tail pen.
  • Bring all three of your pieces safely to the head at the centre to win.

Tips

A piece near the head is precious — one enemy landing sends it all the way back to the tail, so try to leap the last stretch in a single throw when the coast is clear. Keep an eye on enemy pieces just behind yours and change which piece you advance to stay off their landing squares.
