How to play

The little wheel scratched into pavements and columns all across the Roman world. Each player has three pieces. Place them on the wheel, then slide them along the spokes and rim.

Rules

  • First, place your three pieces one at a time onto the wheel’s points.
  • Once placed, tap one of your pieces, then a highlighted point to slide it along a spoke or the rim.
  • Line up all three of your pieces straight through the hub — two opposite spoke-ends and the centre — to win.
  • An extremely long standoff (80 moves) resolves as a draw.

Tips

Take the hub as soon as you can and keep it — from the centre you threaten a line in four directions at once. Block the enemy by sitting on the rim point that would complete their diameter, and make them move away before you strike.
