The classic Akan mancala of West Africa, played from Ghana to the Caribbean. Scoop a house of seeds and sow them one by one around the board; if your last seed drops into an opponent’s house and brings it to two or three, you harvest it — and every house just before it in the same run.
Rules
Tap one of your six houses (the bottom row) to sow its seeds one by one, anticlockwise.
If your last seed lands in an AI house and brings it to exactly two or three seeds, you harvest that house — and every AI house just before it in the same run that also holds two or three.
A move that would capture the AI’s entire side captures nothing instead — you must leave the AI at least one seed.
If a side has no legal move, the other side collects everything left on the board. First to 25 of the 48 seeds wins.
Tips
Build a “kroo” — a house with many seeds — to threaten deep harvests later, and watch which of your moves would leave an AI house on exactly one or two seeds for you to top up into a capture next turn. Avoid feeding AI houses up to two or three right before its turn.
