Five-Field Kono

How to play

The Korean crossing game (오밭고누). Seven stones a side start on a 5×5 board, each sliding one step diagonally to an empty point — there are no captures at all. It is a pure race: be the first to march every one of your stones onto the seven squares the AI started on.

Rules

  • Tap one of your stones, then a highlighted point to slide it one step diagonally.
  • There are no captures in this game — every square either side lands on stays exactly that colour's stone.
  • A move that exactly undoes your own last move is not allowed, matching the traditional no-repeat rule.
  • Be the first to move all seven of your stones onto the seven squares the AI started on (marked with dashed rings) to win.

Tips

Diagonal moves keep every stone on one colour of the board, so plan which stone fills which target early. Don't bunch up — a stone with no empty diagonal neighbour is stuck until the traffic clears.
