A traditional single-player coin-placement puzzle, taught the old-fashioned way from parent to child — no opponent, just careful counting. Seven pits sit in a fixed ring: pick an empty pit, count six pits clockwise or anticlockwise, and if the sixth is also empty, place a stone there.
Each empty pit offers two possible landings — clockwise and anticlockwise — so think a few moves ahead about which pits you're about to lock yourself out of. Undo is unlimited, so it's safe to try a line and back out if it dead-ends.
