Liar’s Dice

How to play

You and the AI each shake five hidden dice. Take turns bidding on how many dice of one face are on the whole table — ones are wild and count as everything.

Rules

  • Each round both sides shake five hidden dice. You open the bidding.
  • A bid is a quantity and a face — e.g. "3 × fives" — claiming at least that many dice of that face exist across BOTH hands, with 1s counting as any face.
  • Each new bid must raise the last: a higher quantity, or the same quantity with a higher face.
  • Instead of bidding, call "Call liar!" to challenge the last bid — all dice are revealed, and whoever was wrong loses one die. Run your opponent out of dice to win.

Tips

With 1s wild, each hidden die is a 1-in-3 match for any face. Ten dice on the table makes ~3.3 of any face the expected count — bids well above that deserve a call.
