How to play

10 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move — a popular club rapid control, giving you real room to think without an all-day game.

Rules

  • Tap or click a piece to see its legal moves highlighted, then tap the destination — or drag the piece directly.
  • Both sides start with 10 minutes; every move you make adds 5 seconds back to your own clock.
  • All standard chess rules apply: castling, en passant, pawn promotion, threefold repetition and the 50-move rule.
  • Checkmate the computer, force a resignation, or win on time to take the game.

Tips

Use the eval bar and move list honestly during review, but resist checking them mid-game — real rapid play means committing to your own calculation.
