Sand Trail

How to play

Inspired by the Ni-Vanuatu tradition of sand drawing — tracing an intricate figure in the sand with one finger, never lifting it, never crossing the same line twice. These are original star patterns in that same unicursal spirit.

Rules

  • Tap any point to begin your trail.
  • Tap the next connected point to draw that line — you can only move along lines that exist in the pattern.
  • Trace every line in the pattern exactly once, never repeating a line.
  • Return to the point where you started to complete the pattern and win.

Tips

Start anywhere you like — every point is equally good, since each pattern is one continuous loop. If you get stuck partway through, press Reset and look for the one line you can't reach without crossing another.
