How to play

The classic 15-puzzle. Slide numbered tiles into the blank space to restore the order 1–15, in as few moves as you can manage.

Rules

  • Click any tile next to the blank space to slide it into the gap.
  • Arrow keys also work: they slide whichever tile is adjacent to the blank in that direction.
  • Your move count is tracked live.
  • Arrange every tile back into numeric order, 1 through 15, to win.

Tips

Solve the top row first, then the left column — once those are locked in, the remaining 3×3 block is a much smaller problem to reason about.
